Shortly before 10:30 AM on Monday, a police report from MDA about a violent incident between an elderly couple in the city of Ashdod was received, and that the woman was with the MDA team there while the husband was inside their apartment and was running wild.

Police rushed to the scene and found that the husband had quickly entered the house, so he apparently poured flammable material on himself and R”L set himself on fire. The police quickly took action to stop the fire using a fire extinguisher. He was seriously injured according to medical personnel and was evacuated to the hospital for further treatment. Police investigators are probing the incident.
