Arab MKs Dr. Ahmed Tibi and Muhammad Barakeh called the Yisrael Beitenu opposition party “a fascist party that should not be permitted representation in Knesset.”

In response, party leader Avigdor Lieberman called Arab MKs a “fifth column” which represents terror organization, posing a threat to the future of Israel.

Lieberman stated that we permit the Arab MKs to visit Qatar, where they identify as “Palestinians” and promote causes contrary to the interests of the future of the Jewish state. Nevertheless, they are in Knesset, proving we have learned nothing from the 1930s, the time period preceding the Holocaust. “This is a syndrome of the Weimar Republic,” he added.

Lieberman’s address in Knesset was heckled and interrupted numerous times by the Arab MKs as well as Zahava Gal-On, from the radical secular left-wing Meretz Party.

He stated that he is hopeful in the next government he will be the defense minister and then the Arab MKs will see a new Middle East.
