Authorities Close A Number Of Kinneret Beaches At The Height Of Summer Vacation

While it is bein hazmanim, the heart of the summer vacation in Eretz Yisrael, authorities have closed a number of Kinneret beaches, including Lebanon and Gufra, two of the busiest area beaches.

Officials report that the two beaches are closed to swimmers as of Tuesday morning due to poor water quality, detected via standard tests conducted to determine the quality of the water.

Officials explain they are aware the closure sabotages the vacation plans of more than a few area residents and visitors, but the health of the public remains the paramount concern and therefore, the beaches must remain closed at this time.

The two beaches in question are located at the eastern Kinneret, near Korsei Junction and the Kinar Hotel. They are very popular, especially for the religious youth and quests of the nearby hotels.
