After polls released on erev Shabbos and after Shabbos show that Blue & White will be the largest party in Knesset after elections, not Likud; it is clear that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is under enormous pressure.
The Prime Minister contacted the heads of councils throughout Yehuda and Shomron for an ‘urgent kenos’ in his official residence, two weeks ahead of elections for 22nd Knesset. The Yesha leaders are invited along with Likud-affiliated municipality leaders from around Israel.
The notice released from the Prime Minister’s Residence tells of the ‘urgent kenos’ on Monday, September 2, 2019, at 7:00PM, in his official residence on Balfour Street in Jerusalem. Recipients of the invitation are requested to RSVP.
The latest poll, released Sunday evening, shows the Blue & White party earns 32 seats while Likud only receives 31 seats. This might lead to President Rivlin to give the presidential mandate to form the next coalition to Blue & White and not to Likud.
