Egged Declares ‘Work Dispute’: Sanctions Set for Monday AM

Egged on Sunday declared a ‘work dispute’, which starts the countdown timer of fourteen days, following which a strike may be held. Not wasting any time, Egged officials report that on Monday morning, December 9, 2019, from 6:00AM to 8:00AM, they will hold explanatory assemblies for employees in the Jerusalem district, a move that will undoubtedly disrupt the morning rush hour – persons heading to work, school, IDF bases or wherever.

Drivers insist that if management does not stop harming them with their decisions, the job action will be implemented on Monday morning. They explain the latest decision by management would harm their monthly salaries significantly, far more than they are able and/or willing to accept, telling the public drivers would lose thousands of shekels monthly.
