Extensive preparations are being made in Israel ahead of US President Joe Biden’s visit on Wednesday.

Over 16,000 police officers, including Border Police officers and volunteers, will be deployed to provide security and public order during the visit in a security operation dubbed “Blue Shield 3.”

Drivers will encounter snarled traffic on many roads in central Israel, including major highways such as Route 1, which will be closed for hours in both directions on Wednesday afternoon between 3 pm. to 5 p.m.

Many streets in Jerusalem, where Biden is staying at the King David Hotel, will also be closed from Wednesday to Friday, especially near the hotel, the Prime Minister’s Residence, and the President’s Residence.

The IDF is also taking part in the operation by increasing its forces in Yehudah and Shomron and near the Gaza Border to quickly respond to any provocations from Palestinians or Gaza-based terror groups.

  1. Such a waste of a visit
President veggie coming to talk to the bench warmer
What’s the point of going through this charade ??

  2. Why don’t these 16,000 cops simply call in that they tested positive for Corona, and then their presence shall be more deadly than their absence

  3. What about Joe’s obligation to the green new deal?! So many gas guzzling ozone layer destroying vehicles?! Flying on a jumbo jet?!
And WE are supposed to drive little electric cars meant for midgets? Typical democrat. Do as I say not as I do.

  4. The much smaller security detail for Trump’s visit apparently was either based on the absence of concerns that any real terrorist would bother or that he was simply “expendable”.

  5. No point, no one wants to kill a harmless old grandpa, it’s the executors of his estate that they’re after. They should have the 16,000 cops for the White House staff etc.

  6. Whether or not we like Biden, “Traffic Nightmare” is a pretty lousy way to describe the president’s visit.

  7. Sara Rifka: Consider less is more….If you still believe the nareshkeit you’ve been spewing, interventions are available. Biden has some real issues and I’m hopeful he doesn’t run againg but after what we’ve learned the past few weeks, just about every former Trump advisor and appointee has agreed he LOST and his continued circus is a threat to our democracy. Unclear if he will be indicted but he is clearly losing support except for the true crazies like Roger Stone, Crazy Rudy, etc.

“Traffic Nightmare” is exactly how to describe this unnecessary shpiel. If you think otherwise, you’ve obviously never been to Yerushalayim.

  9. @ahro
