The petirah of HaGaon HaRav Baruch Mordechai Ezrachi, z’tl, during such a difficult time is a heavy blow for Klal Yisrael.

B’Chadrei Chareidim published a moving video from the Rosh Yeshivah’s trip to Lithuania in Chodesh Av of 2015.

It was on a Friday during the trip, and the Rosh Yeshivah, z’tl, was in the town of Kovno, at the kever of HaGaon HaRav Yitzchak Elchanan Spektor, z’tl.

At the kever, HaRav Ezrachi said: “You’re sitting in the shadow of the wings of Hakadosh Baruch Hu – you know how difficult it is for us. A year ago, difficult decrees were decided against us and b’chasdei Hashem, we were saved. Stand before the Kisei Hakavod and plead before Him – we also need your zechuyos, that there will be more Gedolei HaTorah. Stand before the Borei Olam that marbeitzei Torah and Gedolei haTorah will increase.”

HaRav Ezrachi, z’tl and his talmidim then sang U’Nesana Tokef.
