ICE Deports Flatbush Resident In Handcuffs To El Al Flight Back To Israel

An Israeli resident of Flatbush, recently arrested by ICE for overstaying his visa, was kept in handcuffs until he boarded an ELAL flight to Israel at JFK Airport, this past Sunday morning.

The Flatbush Jewish Community Coalition, FJCC has recently dealt with community members who are foreign citizens and were arrested by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, ICE officers in Flatbush for overstaying their visas, which resulted in their imprisonment and forced deportation.

This is occurring in communities around the country.

No matter what country you are from – Israel, Canada, England, France, etc., if you are in the US illegally you may be arrested by ICE and held until they arrange deportation. No matter if your spouse or children are American or you have worked and lived here for decades.

If you’ve overstayed your visa, it’s crucial to take action now. You are at risk of arrest and deportation.

Overstaying may also lead to serious consequences including future bans from re-entry, difficulty obtaining future visas, or other legal penalties.

Rabbi Josh Mehlman, Chairman FJCC, explained that “Every case is different, don’t assume that your case is the same as someone else’s. Additionally, some who overstay visas unwittingly allow their foreign passports to expire, delaying deportation, and it’s complicated to obtain a new one while incarcerated. Those recently arrested were held by ICE in difficult conditions. This is a serious matter. We suggest speaking with an immigration attorney immediately. We thank Congressman Mike Lawler and The Aleph Institute for their assistance.”

  1. 1. So much for the theory that Trump is primarily targeting criminals such as gang members, sex fiends and murderers.

    2. Trump is also claiming he can revoke the naturalization of immigrants based on political views he objects to. Imagine what a left-wing oriented Democrat will do with that doctrine (deport immigrants, including citizens, who support zionism or opposes the LGBTQ agenda).

  2. Good. Typical Smug israeli that has no respect thinks he can flout american laws. He should learn his lesson but he won’t.

Hope he lost a lot of money due to this.

And indeed if someone became a citizen while hiding the fact that he supports terror, his citizenship should be revoked as his entire naturalisation process was a fraud.

  3. Akuperma,
Let’s presume for a second that these people were caught up in the arrests of others. There might be a reason that the government wanted to get them out of the country .

Second, you of all people, should know that the president is pushing people’s buttons by saying certain things when it comes to removing citizenship. I hope you didn’t fall too far back and get yourself a good case of TDS.

  4. Obama machshmo administration were arresting Israelis working in the malls all the time. noone with TDS cried, when american in Israel needs a current visa. FOLLOW the laws of the land and will not get in trouble.

  5. Nobody seems to be able to find seats on ELAL. If you to get to Israel, your best option may be calling ICE.

  6. why is FJCC spewing liberal propoganda if you overstayed your visa youre an ILLEGAL like all those Mexicans, are we assuming no Israeli illegals broke the law? Trump 2028!!!!

  7. Jersey Jew: Trump clearly has a strategy to “push people’s buttons”, apparently to induce “Trump derangement syndrome” which cripples his opponents. However they also create precedents that can be used by future presidents against their enemies, and give the trends in the Democratic Party, there is a reasonable chance the next president will be someone who is openly hostile to Israel and to non-assimilated Jews.

  8. BY1212,

It seems to me that not a single part of your post expresses a Jewish idea.
Motz’ei Shem Ra, Lashon Ha’Ra, Nosei b’Ol Im Chaveiro, Rachmanim …?
I tell my kids, “If you have nothing nice to say – don’t say it”.

  9. seems to be a lot of confusion.

Firstly, yes. If you are here illegally, you can get deported.

Second, yes, Trump is TARGETING criminals, but as Homan said repeatedly, just because your not a criminal doesnt mean theyll let you go if they find you, your still here illegally.

Third, you can have a staunch position on upholding the law, without being a vindictive piece of tish like BY1212

Fourth, even if you pursue hardline law and order you can allow others who’s job is to take the sympathetic approach to do their work on the side.

Fifth, all this is what is being relayed by FJCC.
    Your all welcome.

  10. If you overstay your visa AND you work in this country without a green card, and therefore you are not paying taxes….
You ARE doing something illegal. It costs the U.S. money, and often social service benefits and resources without contributing anything

Not the same as a guest or medical patient who is being privately supported
