A Staten Island skincare entrepreneur is facing a wave of outrage after posting a TikTok video in which she bragged about humiliating a Jewish couple who asked her for help paying a parking meter, refusing to assist unless they repeated the political slogan “Free Palestine.”
Eman Masoud, a Palestinian-American esthetician and founder of the organic skincare brand Pure with Nature, described the encounter in a now-deleted video that was reposted Friday by the watchdog group StopAntisemitism. In the clip, Masoud recounted how a couple approached her at a parking kiosk and asked if she could pay the machine in exchange for cash. Before helping, she said, she wanted to “see if they were Zionists.”
“I’m not even going to say what they are — you can guess,” Masoud said, insinuating their Jewish identity as she mocked them for seeking assistance. She said she told the couple, “I’ll do it if you say ‘Free Palestine,’” before repeating the demand as they reacted with visible discomfort.
Masoud said the woman stayed silent while the husband, stunned, asked, “Excuse me?” She doubled down, claiming the man eventually responded with the Arabic word for “no.” She then erupted, accusing the couple of “taking our language” and berating the man for looking away — all while filming herself for social media.
In the video, Masoud railed against the couple’s “audacity” to ask her for help “knowing who I am based on what I look like, based on what you look like.” She added, “Go screw yourself,” before posting the footage to her more than 13,000 TikTok followers.
The video quickly triggered widespread condemnation online, with viewers accusing Masoud of weaponizing a political slogan to demean unsuspecting strangers.
“Humiliating Jews in a parking lot does nothing to help Palestinians,” one user wrote on X. “And since when is it normal in New York to be ‘shocked’ that Jews approach you — and to broadcast it online as though that reaction is justified?”
The episode underscores a disturbing trend in which “Free Palestine” rhetoric is used as cover for open hostility toward Jews. As one commenter put it, “The Free Palestine movement has become nothing more than a convenient excuse to be loudly and proudly antisemitic.”
Masoud has not publicly commented since deleting the video.
