After four days of intensive search efforts, authorities have located the body of a 19-year-old teenager from Bnei Brak who had been missing since Wednesday. The body was discovered in the Yarkon Stream area, bringing a tragic end to days of around-the-clock searches.
The search operation began after the teen’s bicycle and personal belongings were found near the Yarkon Stream, prompting police and rescue organizations to focus their efforts on the area. Since then, dozens of police officers, special units, and volunteer rescue teams conducted extensive searches by land and water, continuing through both day and night.
Israel Police confirmed that the body of Eliyahu Aba Shaul, 19, was located a short time ago by volunteers from ZAKA, who were operating as part of the coordinated search efforts.
Over the past several days, large police forces, specialized units, and rescue organizations worked jointly in the area. The operation included foot searches, water searches, and the use of advanced technological equipment designed to assist in locating missing persons.
ZAKA divers and special units operated along the length of the stream and surrounding areas, utilizing specialized equipment, including sonar systems and drones, in an effort to locate any findings that could clarify the circumstances of the teen’s disappearance. Searches continued even during nighttime hours, under challenging conditions.
ZAKA said that following four days of intense and coordinated activity, the body was located today in Park HaYarkon by ZAKA volunteers, as part of the efforts of the organization’s special units.
The multi-day operation was carried out in full cooperation with Israel Police and the Fire and Rescue Service’s Lahava Unit, and included ground searches, aerial scans using ZAKA’s drone unit, underwater searches by trained divers along the stream’s route, and the use of advanced sonar technology. The operation was directed from a dedicated command center established at the scene.
