Following the IDF strike in Beirut and after a fresh security assessment, the military announced that it is preparing for possible incoming fire toward Israel in the coming hours.
The IDF said it has reinforced defensive measures and remains on heightened alert for a range of scenarios, both defensive and offensive.
Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir and senior military commanders are currently conducting ongoing assessments and closely monitoring developments.
The military is urging the public to remain vigilant, act responsibly, and follow all Home Front Command instructions, which may be updated as the situation evolves. In preparation for launches, the Home Front Command canceled school across the country.
Meanwhile, the U.S. military said its forces throughout the Middle East “remain vigilant and ready” amid Iranian threats to respond to Israel’s strikes in Beirut, which Tehran claims violated the ceasefire framework backed by Washington.
“US forces across the Middle East remain vigilant and ready,” U.S. Central Command said in a statement posted on X.
In a separate development, Qatar has issued a Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM) restricting certain air routes and directing aircraft to avoid flight paths near its maritime border with Iran. The restrictions are in effect through June 14.
Adding to the heightened regional tensions, reports cited by Israel’s Channel 12 indicate that residents in western Tehran reported hearing increased Iranian Air Force activity overhead.
