An 11-year-old girl was critically injured Tuesday after falling several stories in the stairwell of a residential building in Holon. Magen David Adom medics found the girl unconscious on a lower floor suffering from severe multi-system injuries and rushed her to Wolfson Medical Center for emergency treatment.

A woman at the scene who suffered an anxiety attack following the incident was also treated and transported to the hospital.

Paramedics said they arrived to find the girl in serious condition and provided immediate lifesaving treatment before evacuating her to the trauma unit.

Police have opened an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fall.
