A 15-year-old boy was killed overnight in a rollover crash on Route 40 near Be’er Sheva, while a 20-year-old man was moderately injured.
Magen David Adom received reports of the accident shortly after midnight and dispatched paramedics and EMTs to the scene. Upon arrival, responders found the teenager unconscious, without a pulse or signs of breathing, and suffering from severe multi-system injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second victim, a man in his 20s, sustained moderate injuries. After receiving initial treatment at the scene, he was transported to Soroka Medical Center for further care.
MDA paramedic Itzik Yanai said crews conducted medical assessments on the teen but were forced to pronounce him dead due to the severity of his injuries. He added that the second victim was treated and evacuated to the hospital in stable condition.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
