The budget presented to the Knesset Finance Committee seeks a general election budget of NIS 207 million, a NIS 13 million increase from the last general election. There will be 10,000 voting stations nationwide, a 15% increase from the general elections in 2006.

The main component of the budget officials explain is the cost of salaries for election committee employees and poll watchers on Election Day, as well as payment for security personnel including Israel Police and Israel Prison Authority.
