The levaya of HaGaon HaRav Avraham Chaim Kahanaman ZATZAL, the ‘Nasi’ of Ponovitz Yeshiva, will get underway today, 1 Rosh Chodesh Adar (Tuesday) at 11:00am at the Ponovitz Yeshiva in Bnei Brak.
There will not be any hespedim in keeping with Rosh Chodesh. The kvura will be in the Ponovitz section of the Beis Chaim in Bnei Brak.

Boruch Dayan Hoemmes. The fact that there will not be any hespeidim would have pleased the Rosh Yeshiva very much. He was a great Onov, very much under-valued for what he was. The Bachurim (at least those when I learned there many years ago) often did not appreciate all he did for the Yeshiva. He was the son of the saintly Rav Yosef Shlomoh Kahaneman ztsl and took over the running of the Yeshiva still during his father’s lifetime.
