Two hours after mispalalim left shut after maariv a Katyusha rocket slammed down near the entrance on Thursday night. Had the attack occurred earlier in the night chas v’sholom, the outcome could have been disastrous.
Thursday was a difficult day for southern area residents, with over a dozen rockets landing in different areas, including at least one attack in the Chof Ashkelon Regional Council during the night.
The Katyusha rocket that landed near the Netivot shul resulted in broken windows and nothing more Baruch Hashem, while residents continue turning to the army and the government wondering why they are permitting the situation to deteriorate to the state prior to Operation Cast Lead.
