Tuesday Afternoon News Briefs from Eretz Yisrael


Ten people, mostly children, were injured in a motor vehicle accident at Nehora Jct. in the Lachish district on Tuesday morning. Police report a minibus transporting the children failed to yield the right of way at the intersection.

**A bus struck a female pedestrian on Jerusalem’s Shmuel HaNavi Street on Tuesday morning. She was reported in moderate condition in Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.

**15 policemen and 12 civilians were lightly injured by rocks in Um el-Fahm flag parade on Tuesday morning. At least 10 people were arrested.

**A woman in her 50s was gravely injured on Shimon Dahan Street in Tiveria on Tuesday when a tree fell on her during the winter storm.

**Rock attacks against vehicles in the Chevron area. No injuries reported. At least one vehicle was damaged.

15:15: A Kassam rocket landed in the Chof Ashkelon Regional Council. No injuries.

**Syria for the first time has appointed an ambassador to Lebanon.

**Jerusalem police arrested 26 suspects in a major drug undercover operation in the capital. Arrests were made in the center and southern areas of the city.

**Nine people were injured and an Israeli women killed in a Tuesday afternoon vehicular accident on the Adam-Hizme Road north of Yerushalayim.
