Israel’s Ambassador to Washington Apologizes to White House Chief

re1.jpgUS Ambassador to Washington Dr. Michael Oren apologized to White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel after comments he made in private to the Israel Consul General to Los Angeles Jacob Dayan were passed along to the Foreign Ministry, and eventually, making the media.

As was reported by YWN-Israel on Wednesday, Emanuel’s remarks were in the form of a threat or ultimatum, that if the diplomatic efforts between Israel and the PA (Palestinian Authority) do not move along, the White House will diminish its involvement in regional peace efforts.

The White House was apparently angered over the fact that the private remarks made in an informal forum found their way to the mainstream media.

  1. Freudian slip: “US Ambassador to Washington Dr. Michael Oren…”?

Reb Yechiel: Unfortunately, you are correct. Dr. Oren and his boss, Prime Minister Netanyahu, act like U.S. ambassadors, instead of Israeli ambassadors. They should be replaced by ambassadors of the Ribono Shel Olam.

  2. Another in a long line of “face/hand” pictures. By the way, last I checked Rahm Emanuel was a Jew. Was there a rabbinic ruling changing that fact, chas v’shalom. Can one post unflattering pictures of a fellow Jew and remain untainted?

  3. Obviously peace talks are nothing more than a political football for the Obama administration.

If Obama’s people really wanted peace talks they wouldn’t play whisper games this way and that.

Obviously Obama’s really on our side, and he just wants to push off peace talks by talking about them, which just the right place for such non workable ideas.

  4. obamanation apologizes around the world except to Eretz Yisrael. Idiot in Israel don’t apology to this anti seimite adminstration of destructions
