IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir met with reservists this morning at the Tze’elim training base in southern Israel, where troops are preparing for a planned major offensive in the Gaza Strip.

“I am aware of the gravity of the task, the responsibility, and burden that we place on you and your families. We do so with reverence. The only consideration before my eyes is the security of the country,” Zamir says in remarks published by the IDF.
