U.S. Central Command announced it will begin enforcing a blockade on all maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports starting April 13 at 10 a.m. ET, applying to vessels of all nations and covering Iranian ports along the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman.

CENTCOM said freedom of navigation will be maintained for ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz to and from non-Iranian ports.
