Trump is reportedly in talks to send up to 1,100 Afghans who helped U.S. forces during the war to the Democratic Republic of Congo after halting the U.S. resettlement program.
• The group is currently housed at Camp As Sayliyah in Qatar and includes interpreters for the U.S. military, former members of the Afghan Special Operations forces, family members of American service members, and more than 400 children.
• They would be given a choice between being sent to Congo or returning to live under Taliban rule in Afghanistan.
