馃敟Following Meron Restrictions, Israel Bans Lag B鈥橭mer Bonfires Nationwide

鈥⑩仩 鈦燤erely hours after officials limited Meron attendance to 1,500 people, Israel鈥檚 Fire and Rescue Authority announced a nationwide ban on bonfires amid extreme wildfire risk.

鈥⑩仩 鈦燗uthorities cited dangerous weather conditions, along with safety and security concerns in forest areas.

鈥⑩仩 鈦燭he order takes effect May 3 and remains in place until June 30 at midnight. Bonfires will be allowed only at pre-approved locations.

鈥⑩仩 鈦燞undreds of firefighters, inspectors, and volunteers will be deployed nationwide for enforcement and rapid response.
