NEW: The Home Front Command is reportedly set to begin issuing early warnings ahead of incoming Hezbollah rocket fire from Lebanon, giving civilians extra time to prepare before sirens sound.

According to Channel 12, the new system — expected to launch in the coming days — could provide anywhere from a few extra seconds near the northern border to up to two minutes deeper inside Israel.

The alerts will reportedly apply only to rocket fire, not drone attacks.
