President Isaac Herzog warned of a growing “process of brutalization” inside parts of Israeli society, condemning recent violence in Judea and Samaria, attacks against Christians and Muslims, and abuse of detainees.
“We are witnessing a terrible wave of violence carried out by a lawless mob,” Herzog said, adding: “It is forbidden to abuse detainees, however contemptible they may be. It is forbidden to take the law into one’s own hands. It is forbidden to harm people of other faiths and their symbols.”
