Northern Israel Under Tightened Restrictions After Hezbollah Escalation

The IDF Home Front Command tightened restrictions across northern Israel following intensified Hezbollah rocket and drone attacks, closing schools near the Lebanon border and limiting gatherings in other areas of the north.

• Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya announced it is moving operations to a protected underground facility amid the escalating security situation.

• The IDF said more than 25 rockets and several drones were launched from Lebanon on Saturday, triggering sirens in Safed, Karmiel, Kiryat Shmona and other northern communities. No injuries were reported.

• Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz are expected to hold a security assessment tonight as Israel responds to the escalation in fighting along the northern border. Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam accused Israel of pursuing a “scorched-earth policy” while defending ongoing U.S.-brokered peace talks.
