Following President Trump’s announcement that planned U.S. strikes on Iran had been canceled, Iranian state-affiliated Tasnim News dismissed the development, noting that Trump has repeatedly claimed an agreement with Iran was imminent.

Tasnim mocked the latest announcement, stating that Trump had declared a deal was near dozens of times over the past two months and sarcastically suggested that, “in his imagination,” Vice President Vance had already been sent to Pakistan multiple times within a matter of days. The outlet added that any reports of a possible agreement should be treated with caution until Iranian officials formally announce an understanding.
