A senior police official has reportedly approached several Chareidi municipal leaders in recent days in an effort to arrange a meeting with Police Commissioner Danny Levy and end Degel HaTorah’s boycott of the police, Kan News reports.

Chief Rabbi of the Israel Police Rami Berachyahu reportedly told the representatives that the commissioner wants to hear their concerns and announce a change in policy regarding the arrests of Chareidim over military status issues. The representatives have so far declined the proposal.
