EXTRADITED: Michael Kedar, a 27-year-old American-Israeli known as the “Ashkelon Hacker,” has been extradited to the U.S. and appeared in federal court in Orlando to face charges of targeting Jewish institutions across Florida with bomb and terror threats.
Kedar previously served seven years in an Israeli prison for similar offenses, is charged with hate crimes, interference with religious freedom, bomb threats, and interstate threats. If convicted, he faces up to 35 years in federal prison. Prosecutors say his alleged actions spread fear throughout the Jewish community and targeted schools, daycare centers, and community institutions.
