A federal judge in California has blocked the Trump administration’s policy of allowing ICE arrests at immigration courts nationwide, ruling that the practice unlawfully discouraged migrants from appearing for court proceedings.

The decision halts a policy introduced last year under which ICE agents detained migrants at courthouses, sometimes immediately after their hearings.
