Head-On Collision In Monsey


amb.jpgToday, at about 1:00PM< the Ramapo police department responded to a motor vehicle accident on Viola Road, in Monsey, New York, just west of Concord Drive.

Responding officers discovered that two cars travelling in opposite directions had collided head on.

Monsey Fire department responded to the scene to assist with extricating one of the drivers. Hatzolah ambulance and medics responded as well as Ramapo Valley ambulance.

The Toyota travelling east bound was occupied by the driver and a front passenger. Both complained of minor neck pain.

The Toyota travelling west was occupied by the driver only and she had to be extricated by the fire department. Injuries to that driver could not be determined at the scene.

All three people were transported to Good Samaritan hospital for evaluation.

The accident occurred during a thunder storm with heavy rain. The Ramapo Accident investigation unit is investigating the incident.
