VIDEO: Priests Protest In Yerushalayim Yelling ‘Sunday! Sunday!’

Cries of “Sunday, Sunday” were heard in Yerushalayim.

There are not many things that attract attention in the holy city, for Jerusalemites are accustomed to seeing many people from around the world, including religious pilgrims of all faiths and walks of life, Jerusalem Syndrome visitors and more.

While shouts of “Shabbos” are not uncommon in Yerushalayim, most of us have yet to see clergymen standing on the streets of the capital shouting “Sunday”, but that is exactly what took place on Sunday, January 1, 2012 when two priests took to the streets with shouts of “Sunday”, decrying the desecration of their holy day in the city of Jerusalem. They attracted a bit of media attention as they stood near Davidka Square shouting “Sunday!”

  1. Do you have the names of the two “priests” – did anyone check who they really are. I couldn’t find any reputable news sources carrying the story, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they were some secular Israelis engaging in a protect against the existence of a large Hareidi population in Jerusalem.
