VIDEO: NJ Gov. Christie Slams Boehner For Delaying Sandy Aid

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie on Wednesday blamed U.S. House Speaker John Boehner, a fellow Republican, for delaying a vote on federal disaster aid for Superstorm Sandy, calling the inaction “disappointing and disgusting.”

“There is only one group to blame for the continued suffering of these innocent (storm) victims – the House majority, and their speaker, John Boehner,” he told a news conference in Trenton, New Jersey.

Christie said that he was doubtful lawmakers would vote on the $60.4 billion relief package before the new session begins on Thursday.

Boehner has told the lawmakers he will make a Sandy relief bill his first priority in the new Congress, which will be sworn in on Thursday, an aide to Boehner said.

  1. I sent a strong email to Boehner the Baby this morning. As a Republican I told him to fall on his sword & resign. He’s a disgrace. I also called Michael Grimm to offer my support, even though he’s not my district.

I urge other Republicans to call Boehner also. BTW, I didn’t get affected by Sandy at all.

  2. slam the idiots who insist on using tragedy to place pork bills on the table.make them accountable for once. let them understand that they do not deserve high pay and massive pensions as a reward for misappropriating so much tax money and then crying for more. what they have been doing should be a crime and if the republicans were doing it, they would be killed for it
