Man Suffers Critical Injuries After Jumping Into Tiger’s Den At Bronx Zoo

A 25-year-old man suffered multiple injuries Friday after he jumped into the tiger’s den at Bronx Zoo.

The incident happened around 3:45 p.m. while the individual was riding the monorail, a witness told 1010 WINS.

The victim suffered a punctured lung, partially severed left foot and dislocated shoulder. He was taken to Jacobi Hospital.

In order to get into the tiger area, the man had to climb over one fence and jump over another fence. That information leads police to strongly believe that he intentionally entered the tiger’s den, CBS 2 reported.

A woman who was also riding the monorail said some passengers at the far end of the train contacted the conductor, telling him to stop because someone had jumped off.

  1. Is a mentally ill non-Jew attempting to kill himself something that really belongs in a frum news site?

Perhaps if you discussed the heroic efforts of the zoo staff to save, that might be newsworthy from our perspective. But making fun of a meshuganah goy really isn’t appropriate.
