A group of thugs vandalized a Chabad elementary school in Paris, the public prosecutor’s office said on Sunday.
“On Saturday night, several individuals carried out acts of vandalism at the Lubavitch Jewish elementary school, Beit Chana, located in the city’s 20th arrondissement,” the statement said.
“Three windows at the school were smashed, and a CCTV camera and the building’s sign were vandalized,” the prosecutor’s office said. “The sign was found in a nearby park. The vandals did not enter the school.”
Police said an investigation has been opened into “serious property damage.”
According to data from the French Ministry of the Interior, 1,570 antisemitic incidents were recorded in France in 2024. In the first eight months of 2025, 889 incidents were reported. The full data for 2025 is expected to be published later this month.

ChaBaD Lubavitch, repair what the vandals destroyed, Go on with your lives as before, just put barriers up between Synagogue and Street, Put the Sign Back where it Belongs, do not be deterred by vandals who are letting loose how they learned to believe in their families and communities (both young and old). It is more than the word anti-semitism, it is more closer and more accurate to say that their hatred are unresolved feelings about not accepting differences, the way their families already believe. Know that we, ChaBaD worldwide support you, Rebbe Menachem Mendel Shneerson would want you to be strong and courageous for H”M during this trying time. If the vandals are ever brought to justice as I hope and pray they are, they must, must, do some kind of community service that will reflect a much more compassionate outcome from them in the future toward those of us, Yiddishe Neshamah. Bleipt Gezundt One and All!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
