CHILD FOUND: Large Search For Missing Boy In Sullivan County [UPDATED 10:32PM EST]


A large search is underway in Sullivan County, Sunday evening.

The Monticello Police, Monticello FD, Sullivan County Sheriff Dept, NYSP,  Catskills Hatzolah & Misaskim have set up a command post, and searching for a missing 12-year-old boy.

The missing child has been named as NAME REMOVED AFTER SEARCH ENDED He was last seen on Shabbos afternoon at 1:00PM in the Monticello Shul on Landfield Avenue.

He was last seen wearing a white dress shirt, black pants, black shoes, and a black Yarmulka.

UPDATE 8:35PM EST: Dozens of volunteers from many organizations are on the scene working together on the search. Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty is using all resources available and is personally on the scene.

UPDATE 8:40PM EST: The child is a resident of Crown Heights, and the NYPD as well as Shomrim are conducting a search in the community.

UPDATE 10:35PM EST: Highly credible sources tell YWN that a person of interest has been taken into custody. Detectives from the Sullivan County Sheriff Department, and the NYSP are working intensly on the investigation.

UPDATE 10:32PM EST: The child has just been found in Monticello, and is in good condition.
