VIDEO: Is al-Qaeda Taking Control of Israel/Syrian Border?

syrTwenty members of the unarmed United Nations peacekeeping force patrolling the border between Israel and Syria were abducted at gunpoint on Wednesday 24 Adar 5773. Israeli intelligence officials are carefully monitoring the worrisome situation, and they fear the escalating violence and al-Qaeda presence near the Israeli border will result in the UN force leaving the area.

Some 30 armed gunmen ambushed 20 Philippines peacekeeping force members who were delivering supplies. The incident occurred five kilometers (3 miles) from the Israeli border near outpost 58, which was already abandoned by the peacekeepers due to the violence in the area between government and revolution forces in the ongoing civil war.

They took their prisoners and videoed them, uploading their revolutionary message to YouTube.

Al-Jazeera also reported on the incident, showing a UN Security Council official demanding the immediate and unconditional release of the peacekeeping force members.

Some reports have stated that US President Barak Obama has already consulted with Israel, which is preparing the IAF for an attack against Syria as the situation in that country continues to deteriorate rapidly.

  1. This smells fishy, an Assadian and Iranian way of drawing Israel into the conflict! If Israel does respond to this crisis (UN members take note) Hezbollah, PLO and of course Names will find an evil wicked snake like reason to attack the people of Eretz Yisrael! Am Yisrael Chai

  2. Israel should demand in writing and UN resolution that if Israel helps the UN will stop all future anti-Semitic views.
Yea right, like that is going to happen!!!!!
