NYPD Arrests Governor Paterson’s Son

patn.jpgGovernor David Paterson’s son has been released from a police precinct in Manhattan, multiple news agencies report.

Alex Paterson, 15, was taken into custody during a dice game earlier this afternoon and later brought to the 20th precinct station house on the Upper West Side.

CBS 2 reports that the teen allegedly had possession of a stolen credit card.

He is not the only one being questioned.

Paterson currently attends the private Beacon High School in the city.

The following statement was released by the Governors Office following the reports:

“Earlier today, Governor Paterson’s son was taken into the 20th precinct and subsequently released to his parents. The Governor and the First Lady ask that their privacy is respected during this personal time.”

  1. stolen credit card – gambling – risk taking

It seems he is not planning to follow in his father’s and grandfather’s distinguished steps, and instead is aiming for a career on Wall Street (I guess it is better to be bailed out than to bail out others)

  2. What do you expect from a governor who announced–right at his inauguration–that he cheats on his wife!–“Eved ki Yimloch”

  3. And the people would appreciate that their privacy namely financial credit card privacy also be respected by the governors family.

  4. akuperma, for your information, the Wall Street bankers were forced to take the TARP money including Wells Fargo which is not a Wall Street firm but nevertheless didn’t want or need the money. and who was the one who caused the economic mess, someone using their credit card too much?!

  5. #6 It may be against police regulations, but notice that none of this story is attributed to the police. It can’t be illegal for anyone else to talk about it: remember the first amendment.
