Russian Israeli billionaire�Arkady Gaydamak has reportedly won the tender for�the Bikur Cholim Hospital in the heart of Yerushalayim – by paying $32 million. Gaydamak had almost lost the deal when shopping mall mogul Lev Leviav out-bid him. Gaydamak�was awarded the deal�anyways, since�Leviav planned to transform the aging hospital�into a real estate project, & Gaydamak has promised to upgrade & modernize the hospital by pumping major funds into the hospital.
According to Arutz 7,�Gaydamak met with the Gavad Yerushalayim�Rav Yitzchak Tuvia Weiss Shlita, and promised him the hospital would be operated in accordance with�Halacha�and top-of-the-line technology.
