  1. Baruch Dayan HaEmes. There was a lot of tehilim said here for her via phone conferences and a tehilim gathering. May her neshama have an aliyah and may her family be comforted among the aveilei tziyon v’Yerushalayim.

  2. BDE: what a tragedy to befall klal yisroel in the midst of the 3 weeks.

will we EVER wake up & start doing teshuva together as a nation?

does anyone think this is coincidence? have you ever heard the fact that there is no such thing as coincidence?

you make me cry bitterly as I write this. it doesn’t sound as bad when you only know 1 side of the story (our side & view of this tragedy)
its a horrific tragedy when you know the other side (Hashem’s side) & know that this entire tragedy could’ve been avoided.

remove the word tragedy from klal yisroel already. how bad must it get C”V?

May her neshama have an aliya & her family comforted among klal yisroel.

  3. Yes #1 – She was a truly special girl and her family is very special family. Our community is mourning terribly. It’s like a bad nightmare.

#3- Every year we hear tragic stories during the 3 weeks. When will we wake up? How much more must we suffer?
Just look at the first 3 stories here on YWN. Two drownings in the Catskills and one death in Chicago (actually happened in Michigan-but not the point)
Hashem please have Rachmanos on klal Yisroel.

  4. Baruach Dayan haemes I didn’t know her personally but I knew people who knew her well. This is a big loss to klal yisroel! The family should be comforted by knowing that her nishamah is right next to the shechinah and kisay hakovod! May Hashem comfort the shulmans!! I have no words besides I’m sorry for your loss….

  5. Reply to yungerman
The Gemara in Sotah says from the day the beis HaMikdosh was destroyed there hasn’t been a day without its curse, means until we have a Beis HaMikdosh standing again we will continue having more and more tragedies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. GEFEN “How much more must we suffer?

Hashem please have Rachmanos on klal Yisroel.”

How about starting by getting off the internet the biggest mashchis klal yosroel has ever known if your looking for a tikkun thats where to start

  7. #3 yungerman, your words are beautiful and emotional however there is one think I respectfully disagree with. Of course we only know one side of the story, and you mention it doesn’t sound as bad as Hashem’s side. For me, the whole situation of our side of the tragedy is awful really does sound bad to me. I try to picture myself in the family’s shoes, and do picture it as a terrible misery.

  8. #8 lbj “How about starting by getting off the internet the biggest mashchis klal yosroel has ever known if your looking for a tikkun thats where to start”
Why do have to sound so rude? First of all you’re also on the internet. Secondly, treating others with respect is way more important than getting off a frum website. Sorry, but I take offense to the way you wrote to me. We are in the three weeks. Time for self introspection. Be careful not to hurt others’ feelings.

I just came back from the Levaya. I’ve never seen so many ppl at a levaya. All her friends, family, the whole community. The speakers spoke from the heart and gave an accurate picture of Ayala and her family. So moving and emotional. May this wonderful family be comforted among klal Yisroel.

  9. to jewishflorida & everyone else

the Sefer says that when something happens to someone, he should immediately stop & make a cheshbon (account) with himself why Hashem would do such a thing to him C”V (ex. if he hurt his foot, did he perhaps do a sin with it i.e. hit someone with it or go to the wrong places with it etc…) when a public tragedy LIKE THIS TZARA happens to klal yisroel, then we are supposed to as a nation as ourselves this question & start doing teshuva.

Due to the tragedies that are occuring/have occured to klal yisroel, it wouldn’t take a genius to realize that all these tragic events (from 9/11 to leiby kletzky to the economy & 7 tzaddikim niftar in 5 weeks etc… i can go on Gush Katif…) don’t happen by coincidence & that each tragedy has a message straight from Hashem (ex. 9/11 did not become a sad day 10 years ago. it has been our sad day for over 2000 years already. 9/11 is Tisha B’av 9 is tisha, 11 is the month of av elul is 12 & tishrei is 1 how does that shock you? a shocking message straight from Hashem i.e. can’t be found in a sefer or newspaper nor is it from me or a Rav)
Why have we still not started doing teshuva towards mashiach? how much does it take for a person to wake up & see that everything happening comes straight from Hashem? how much longer will it take until Klal yisroel starts doing teshuva & calling out to hashem for mashiach?

The pre-geula teshuva movement is not the yom kippur teshuva. It’s the teshuva from the heart, where no one will be afraid/embarassed to confront his friend & ask his forgiveness from something that happened even 5 years ago. This is what Hashem is waiting for.

May it all happen very soon & may it be in the zchus of her neshama

  10. #11- WOW- I’ve never heard that reference of 9/11 to Tisha B’Av! Very interesting and eery (for lack of a better word).

Yes – we should all be doing true teshuva and merit the coming of Moshiach in peace very very soon.

  11. another problem facing us R”L

The situation in Eretz Yisroel & in the Diaspora is very bad from Terrorists to the entire Economy going down etc… If anyone should ask why are all these Tzaros Happening to Klal Yisroel he only needs to look at what the Rambam says. Saying that as long as we remain ignorant of the present troubles that we have & what the reasons are that they are happening. The situation can only get worse until Mashiach comes. With the society we are living in today we (sadly) CONSTANTLY need reminders (wake-up calls) from HASHEM for us to do T’shuva & return to HASHEM so all this Tzaros can end & Mashiach comes
i.e. we have a major problem in todays society. its called facing reality, I.E. when tragedy strikes %99 of us live in denial & block it from our faces & just move on in life, cause we can’t face reality & admit that we get Hashems wake-up call & we will improve…
May hashem help all of us wake up & face reality

  12. ayala, you will be sorely missed
your love for everyone, your wilingness to do for others ,your permanent smile the way you treated everyone with chashivus, “good enough” wasnt in your vocabulary you always sought to do better and be better
it is quite fitting that your name is ayala bas aharon you most definitely followed in the footsteps of aharaon your ohev shalom and rodef shalom was apparent to everyone who met you
your father is a pillar in chicago who is the definition of chessed and kindness (bais yakov, aguda, hatzalo….)
may your family have a nechama
