Terror Victim IDF Sgt. Almog Shiloni HY”D


teSgt. Almog Shiloni, 20, of Modi’in was stabbed to death by an Arab terrorist at Tel Aviv’s Haganah train station on Monday 17 Marcheshvan 5775.

Sgt. Almog Shiloni, returning from leave to his army base, was critically wounded after being stabbed multiple times in a terror attack at Tel Aviv’s Haganah train station on Monday afternoon after a struggle with an Arab who attempted to grab his weapon. He was transported in critical condition to the Tel Hashomer Hospital where he later died of multiple wounds to his stomach and chest. Sergeant Shiloni was posthumously promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant.

Religiously observant, Shiloni served in a company of Nachal Chareidi. On the eve of his recruitment to the army, he said, “I always wanted to be a fighter. I prepared for my recruitment by working out, running.” Shiloni completed the first platoon commander course of the Netzach Yehuda program of the Nachal Chareidi. Rabbi Dov Lifshitz described him as a true believer who was highly respected by the soldiers who served under him.

Almog has a twin brother, Shachar and two younger brothers.

  1. Will we hear anything from her highness, Susan Rice, condemning this act of terror? Will we hear from the great one, John Kerry? Oh right, its not an Arab kid that was killed so everything is cool. No need for any “statement”. Just make you sure you don’t “escalate” the violence. Its good to know that Obama is a “strong” “supporter” of Israel. Could you just imagine if he wasn’t?

  2. Rabbi Dov Lifshitz, of the Nachal Chareidi Rabbis NGO, who accompanied Almog during his military service, said that Almog “was a true yorei Shomayim. He did what he could to make the soldiers around him more knowledgeable in Torah and more G-d fearing. He was a commander whose subordinates admired. My heart breaks over his murder.. “
