A newly released book claims President Donald Trump erupted at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a tense phone call just days before announcing a Gaza war-ending framework, telling him: “Everyone is sick of you, Bibi. All the Jews are sick of you — even the two Jews on this call are sick of you.”

According to the book by New York Times reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan, the conversation included Jared Kushner and White House special envoy Steve Witkoff. The authors claim Trump warned Netanyahu that he could not back away from the proposed agreement, insisting it was in Israel’s best interest.

The book alleges Trump told Netanyahu: “You can’t back out of this. I’m the best friend Israel has ever had. Everyone hates you, and I stood by you.”

The authors also claim tensions between Washington and Jerusalem escalated after an Israeli strike targeting senior Hamas figures in Qatar, leading Kushner and Witkoff to believe Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer had misled them. According to the book, Kushner initially reacted angrily, saying, “I’m out. The Israelis are crazy,” before later viewing the crisis as leverage to pressure Netanyahu toward a deal.

The book further alleges Trump presented the peace framework to Arab leaders before showing it to Netanyahu, fearing the Israeli premier would try to persuade him to abandon the plan. According to the account, Netanyahu ultimately agreed after Trump’s forceful phone call.

The book also repeats previous claims that Trump privately referred to Netanyahu as a “con artist” and believed he never truly wanted peace.
