Fifty-eight-year-old lawyer and flight instructor Eilon Krugman-Kadi was killed on Friday in a plane crash during an airshow in Gainesville, Florida. Krugman-Kadi, an Israeli-American who has been living in Florida for the last 20 years, is survived by three children. The accident happened after the pilot failed to complete a loop in his L-39 aircraft and crashed into a nearby woodland west of the airfield. An Israeli who lost his entire family to a Palestinian terrorist attack had a child with his second wife. A daughter was born this week to David Hatuel, 37, a former Gaza Strip settler, and his wife, Limor, Ynet reported Thursday. Three years ago Hatuel’s pregnant first wife, Tali, and their four daughters were killed in a roadside ambush by Palestinian gunmen. (JTA)

Four Arabs were caught stealing five Sifrei Torah from a Beit Shemesh Shul. The four suspects were caught red-handed by police Wednesday night as they waited in the street with the Sifrei Torah while waiting for their getaway car. The Sifrei Torah, valued at NIS 1 million, were not damaged in the heist, and have since been returned to the Shul.

A gunman rampaged through a strip of restaurants in a trendy Manhattan neighborhood Wednesday night, killing two unarmed Auxiliary police officers and a pizzeria employee. Regular police officers then shot and killed the gunman. Yeshivaworld has confirmed with the noted Askan, Rabbi Edgar Gluck that the rumor is in fact true that one of the police officers was Jewish. There was a short Levaya where tehillim was recited outside the Bostoner Rebbe’s Shul at 7:30AM this morning. Short Hespeidim were delivered by Rav Naftoli Horowitz Shlita and Rav Dovid Moskovitz Shlita. From there they left to Stamford Yeshiva to pick up his sons (4 of them who learn there).  The Aron will be on the 3:00PM IsraAir flight from NY – the first Mais to be taken to Eretz Yisroel by IsraAir.  Boruch Dayan Emmes…
