Rock-throwing attacks continue in the capital despite the passing of the new law that rock-throwing carries a five year prison term. Police on Wednesday evening 6 Menachem Av arrested one young Arab stone-thrower, an 8-year-old hurling rocket at people in the Har HaZeisim area. Police summoned the child�s parents and filed the incident with social services.
There were also numerous rock-throwing attacks in recent days against the Jerusalem light rail. B�H there were no reports of injuries but cars and windows of the light rail were damaged.
Police officials express sorrow over the involvement of young children in rock-throwing attacks against security forces, calling on parents to watch their children and educate them against participating in such acts.
