Moscow, Russia: Cops Arrest Long-Wanted Israeli-Russian Mafia Boss

arrested33.jpgMoscow police have arrested Israeli-Russian mafia kingpin Semion Mogilevich, who is wanted around the world for tax evasion, money-laundering and uranium smuggling – Haaretz reports. Israeli citizen Mogilevich, who is considered to be the “leader of the Red Mafia,” one of the biggest Russian-based organized crime groups in the world, was wanted by the FBI, among other intelligence agencies. He was arrested, along with his bodyguard, in a supermarket in Moscow, where police waited next to his car. He was detained under the name Sergei Schneider, believed to be one of his many aliases.
