Shabbos Afternoon Stabbing Attack in Jerusalem’s Old City


A stabbing attack took place in the Old City of Jerusalem on Shabbos afternoon shortly after 3:00PM.

According to the Magen David Adom report, two civilians were wounded and reported in light-to-moderate condition at the time of transport. A third victim, policeman, was wounded in the thigh area, also listed in light to moderate condition. The attack occurred on HaGuy Street in the so-called Muslim Quarter of the Old City.

All of the victims were transported to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.

In the video, we see one of the victims as well as hear the gunfire of police, who eliminated the terrorist.

    In the video, did one of them make a today slitting gesture to some random Arab? That’s inexcusable.

  2. @#1- As much as it’s easy to sit in the comfort of home and castigate the action of a victim, in the heat of the moment- when all Arabs are in the “attacker” box- such a gesture can definitely be understood, albeit not condoned. Political correctness is another term for “lack of seichel”- most situations aren’t cookie-cutter, to have the same broad brush be applied…

    It looks like he made a slitting motion, he may have been showing the bystander what was just attempted to be done to him. Even if not, I think inexcusable is too harsh. He was just stabbed in an attempt on his life, many people would be reacting even more vehemently to the people cheering on the attack!
