VIDEO: Shofars Sound In Kever Rochel After President Trump Visits Bet Lechem

(VIDEO IN EXTENDED ARTICLE)

Shofars were sounded in Kever Rochel after US President Trump visited Bet Lechem and met with PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) on Tuesday, 27 Iyar 5777. The shofar blowing was part of a tikun after hearing of the terror attacks taking place around the world.

Even with the closure of the holy site during Trump’s presence in Bet Lechem, limud Torah continued inside.

In the accompanying photo, we see Channel 10 Arab affairs corresponded Tzvi Yechezkeli blowing a shofar (white shirt). He is a member of Israel’s Breslov community.

  1. Could someone explain whats the inyan of tekias shofar by this TV Reporter who is also a Breslov choosid….how does this affect whats going on anywhere or is this another one of these strange Breslov minhagim

  2. The shofar blowing has nothing to do with Trump’s visit. I happened to have been there last week and the same procedure was done. There is a box of shofars and anyone takes a shofar after the tikun is said and can blow.
