PHOTOS: Major Fire In Moshav Komamiyus Destroys Matzah Factory And Wheat

A major fire broke out in the wheat fields of Moshav Komamiyus on Thursday, 11 Av, destroying the matzos factory and matzah and wheat inside. The wheat fields were also destroyed in the blaze in the chareidi community which is not far from Kiryat Gat.

In addition to property damage, including the need to evacuate a number of homes, the loss of the matza factory and wheat for the Komamiyus matzos runs in the millions of shekels.

Fire officials are inspecting the site to determine the cause of the blaze.
