FRIGHTENING: Lakewood: Two Men Allegedly Picked Up A Child And Locked Him In A Vehicle

The following is via TLS:

A Lakewood child is lucky to be alive after two men allegedly picked him up and locked him in a vehicle. A second child is being credited for saving his life, TLS reports.

According to sources, while playing outside his home earlier this week, the 4-year-old was apparently alone for several moments when two men spotted him, picked him up and placed him inside a vehicle and locked the safety locks – trapping the young boy inside.

A second child, approximately the same age, saw the boy in the car and immediately notified the boy’s parent. Luckily, the boy was removed from the sweltering vehicle within minutes.

An immediate search of the area for the suspects turned out with negative results.

“This is why children need to be watched every second,” an LCSW coordinator told TLS.

An investigation is underway.

  1. Sure I’m not the only one who thinks this story makes no sense. Highly doubt this story happened the way it was said. Some random people picked up a kid and put in a car and locked. If nobody saw how do they know it was 2 people. A 4 year old saved the kids life by telling a parent. Why wouldn’t the abducters abduct the kid and put in a random car.

Seeing as the, apparently, the children were found in the trunk it is very difficult to claim the kids made up the story. And as to how one knows it was 2 men, maybe because the same child who reported the event mentioned it was 2 men? And why the third child was not taken – maybe because two men each took one child and the third child was smart (or scared) enough to run?

But my question is why would you be asking questions (with rather obvious answers), apparently in attempt to dismiss something so serious?

  3. The story did happen. 2 teenage hoodlums would come by from time to time and frighten the Jewish kids in the area as much as they can. Seems they came by to make trouble and the kids ran away. This 6 yr. old girl ended up alone outside her house. The teens grabbed her and put her in the back of a car whose doors were unlocked and they engaged the child safety lock or perhaps it was already in place. A 5 yr. old boy noticed her in there shortly after and ran to tell her parents who quickly came out and opened the doors.
