Audio: Bill de Blasio Talks Small Biz’ Struggle On The Dov Hikind Show

Keeping up his fight on the Mayor Bloomberg administration, NYC Public Advocate Bill de Blasio elaborated about his call last week for the commissioner heading the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs to resign, in an interview on the Dov Hikind show Saturday night.

Mr. de Blasio, is also running for mayor of New York City in the Democratic Party. In the most recent polls published last week, Mr. de Blasio had the support of 10 percent of Democratic Party voters.

Following a stunning admission Tuesday that the Department of Consumer Affairs “flags” inspectors failing to meet a threshold for issuing fines, Public Advocate Bill de Blasio called for DCA Commissioner Jonathan Mintz to step down and announced new legislation to eliminate quotas, protect the integrity of appeals, and add new oversight of small business fines.
