Final efforts are underway towards renewing the hashgacha for Assaf HaRofeh Hospital on Sunday, 18 Sivan 5774 after the medical center recently lost its hashgacha.

The Chief Rabbinate announced it was yanking its hashgacha when it became clear the hospital no longer had sufficient mashgiach hours to supervise an 800-bed facility preparing three meals daily.

Chief Rabbinate of Israel spokesman Niv Maor signals that it does appear at present that a valid teudat kashrus will be in place I the hospital on Sunday barring any last minute surprises.
